Woman to Woman: Dr. Jackson & Dr. Roberts
What if strength didn’t have to mean silence?
What if resilience didn’t require self-neglect?
What if you didn’t have to carry it all?
I Wish I Could: Unveiling the Mask of the Strong Black Woman is a transformative virtual workshop designed to create brave, affirming space for Black, Indigenous, and other Women of Color to examine — and redefine — what strength truly means.
For generations, the “Strong Black Woman” narrative has been both armor and burden. While it celebrates resilience and perseverance, it often pressures us to suppress vulnerability, ignore exhaustion, and carry emotional labor alone. This workshop invites participants to gently remove the mask and explore the real cost of always being “strong.”
It is aimed at empowering Black, Indigenous, & other Women of Color to redefine strength by critically examining how the belief of the strong Black woman affects our mental wellbeing.
The workshop will offer practical tools for the participants to practice self-nurturing and self-care.

“It was March 2018. I was sick with yet another sinus infection right after having the flu a few weeks before. I was over it. Tired of being sick all the time.
Today…I’m feeling better than I ever felt.
You read that right ever. Better than college, better than high school. I’ve. Never. Felt. This. Good. So good that I had to share. I want you to feel this good too. I believe it’s my ministry, calling and purpose to share this plant-based lifestyle to help as many people regain their health. Not just physical health – holistic health (cue yoga & Jesus).”
